technological progress can sometimes be like a fresh wind that opens up new perspectives. On July 12, 2025, the Deep-tech-Award was awarded in the Berliner Sääle. This prize, initiated by the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Companies, has set itself the goal of visible innovative, research -based solutions from the capital. This year, over 100 companies competed, 15 of which were closer.

The award ceremony was accompanied by Franziska Giffey, the mayor and senator for economy, energy and businesses, which gave an inspiring address on the importance of technological progress. Ultimately, five companies were recognized as deep tech stars 2025 . These companies not only combine economic goals, but also show a strong awareness of social responsibility.

The excellent companies are true showcase projects that are at the forefront in different areas:

• Noah Labs (artificial intelligence): This company has developed a groundbreaking AI solution that enables chronic heart diseases to be recognized by language analysis on the smartphone. Your goal? An inexpensive and non-invasive diagnostics that reduce hospital stays.
• kipu quantum (photonics and quantum technologies): This startup revolutionizes logistics and material research with compact quantum algorithms that can run on common hardware.
• Diaven (Labfly) (robotics): You bring autonomous drone fleets to medical logistics to transport laboratory samples faster and more efficiently and more securely.
• Pramomolecular (Sustainability and Social Impact): Innovative Sirna technology is used here for the targeted combat of difficult-to-treat diseases such as pancreatic cancer.
• afts (Web3): This company digitizes military supply chains within NATO in order to strengthen resilience of democratic systems through encrypted real -time transactions.

The role of artificial intelligence

artificial intelligence plays a central role in today's technology landscape and is considered a key technology for digital transformation. In the Medical Diagnostics already achieves impressive results, while in industry it pushes the economic growth through more efficient processes. But despite the advantages, the risks should not be neglected. Careful regulation is necessary to guarantee comprehensible decisions.

The Deep-Tech Award 2024 will therefore also target innovative solutions in the areas: generative AI and machine learning, quantum computing, robotics and sustainable social innovations.
